Aaron Hackett

Aaron Hackett has been at the Scheller College of Business since 2013, and teaches Strategic Brand Management to MBA and undergraduate classes.  As a coach for CREATE-X, he collaborates with startup founders to help them balance their technological solutions with consumer needs.  Aaron has demonstrated success in the food category, launching successful product innovations such as Folgers ground flavored coffee and Healthy Choice’s Asian steamed meals, resulting in first-year revenues of $10MM and $23MM respectively.  As the Vice President of Marketing & General Manager at The oneCARE Company, he led cross-functional teams and managed the P&L for business unit brand portfolios such as the company’s $60MM fabric care business unit featuring Dryel and several P&G licensed brands.  After teaching the MBA and undergraduate Brand Management courses at Georgia Tech for several years, he bridged the gap from industry experience to student needs by applying the 80/20 rule to brand management in his book, 80/20 Brand: Brand Building with a P&G Edge.  Aaron serves as the marketing committee chair for the Atlanta International School (AIS) Board of Trustees.  AIS is a private, non-profit, international, IB World School for grades 3K-12, featuring full and dual-immersion language programs.  He also serves on the Advisory Board for Sawa, a mission-driven startup that strives to eliminate racial disparity in homeownership.  Aaron is an MBA graduate of Stanford University.  He received his M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
